Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS)
INIS is responsible, inter alia, for administering the functions of the Minister for Justice and Equality in relation to international protection, immigration (including visas) and citizenship matters.
INIS also facilitates a whole of government approach to immigration and international protection issues.
International Protection Appeals Tribunal (IPAT)
The function of the International Protection Appeals Tribunal is to hear and determine appeals on recommendations made by an international protection officer on applications for international protection status in the State.
The Tribunal also determines appeals under the EU Dublin Regulations.
Reception and Integration Agency (RIA)
The Reception and Integration Agency is responsible, inter alia, for co-ordinating the reception and accommodation services provided to those seeking international protection.
Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB)
The Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) is responsible for Garda operations pertaining to immigration matters in the State.
